It’s quite easy to see the tech as the big enemy getting in the way of our good night’s sleep. But the truth is, just like any other sphere of our lives where tech makes significant improvements, it can actually help us to have a better sleep.
Here are the top three ways technology is currently helping people clock in more snoozes.
- Sleep Apps: Most come with soothing sounds and a gentle alarm to lull you to sleep and rouse you gently. They also give sleep reports too.
- Sleep Trackers: With a range of designs from sculptures to bracelets, sleep trackers help to monitor your sleep.
- Orthopaedic mattresses: The best mattresses on the market are designed by paying close attention to human anatomy, choosing specific materials that are able to support your spine, allow your muscles to relax and allow for a good night’s sleep.
Finally, in the Wearable Technology Show, held between March 13th and 14th in London, some interesting tech products were unveiled that could improve sleep. These were the QuietOn Sleep earplugs, the Oura ring, and the WITgrip’s wraparound device (which you wear like a wristwatch but on the inside of your wrist).
